Day 176 of the search for dragons

An exciting day today! Detective Wagalot and I found dragon eggs! In Welsh Marshland the Detective found a scent trail, which led us to a Marshland Dragon nest. Protected under a rock was a lake with the dragon eggs there. The adult dragons were away, I suspect they were hunting for their diet of frogs. They are a small species of dragon, about the size of an adult human’s hand.

The eggs themselves resemble frog-eggs, which is a survival strategy so that the dragon eggs aren’t found as easily. But on careful examination their measurements matched with Marshland Dragon eggs.

I didn’t want to disturb the nest and cause these eggs to be orphaned, so we left. Hopefully in a few months once they are hatched we could glimpse some juveniles flying around when we return to this area.
